The brand new Suzuki GSX-S1000 GT has improved the top of the line Sport Touring category in almost every way this year.
With Superbike derived performance and the latest Suzuki technology the new GT offers all-day comfort and still delivers a sporty experience.
I was so impressed with how nimble the new GT was. I absolultely loved the torque-rich powerplant. Even on a day like today where the weather isn't really the best, the GT delivered a smooth but exciting ride.
The engine now Euro5 compliant is the 999cc liquid cooled unit that makes 150 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 106 nm of torque at 9,250.
With very little vibrations it makes journeys even more comfortable. The power delivery is so consistent throughout the range. I loved how easy it was to switch between power modes, there's three of those: A, B and C. Along with a 5 level traction control.
The rich Suzuki Intelligent Ride System enhances the riding experience. Thanks to the cruise control, up and down quickshifter and so much more.
The 6.5" TFT dash looks absolutely gorgeous and it now offers smartphone connectivity.
But as I said earlier - what really impressed me was how easy the GT is the ride.
Thanks to the comfortable ergonomics, adjustable suspensions and premium stopping power.
With a starting price of only £11,599 I think this Suzuki GSX-S1000 GT will be the most popular choice amongst all Sport Tourers this year.
