GM Moto Review
SOFTAIL SLIM
The bike, the myth, the legend, actually it's REAL and it comes straight from the Softail family!
The Slim is an iconic motorcycle that made me fall in love with Choppers again. Although not a real chopper with its "Slim" profile, this model is one of the best selling from the Softail range. It's got that cool, chopped-fender vibe that not many cruisers have.
The best one to buy is actually this older Slim in the 103ci configuration. The one that still packs a lot of character which lacks in the new Milwaukee 8s.
It's a lazy torque monster, 6 gear V-Twin air cooled engine, peered up with a couple of short staggered Vance & Hines 2 in 2 shots. It's a proper symphony!
The custom seat is just right for me, it's got enough support for the occasional rip of the throttle. Suspensions are nice and soft and will do miles and miles on end with no issues at all.
It really is a special bike and I'm so glad I could have a go on it. I envy whoever is going to steal this piece of history from Bolton Motorcycles!
