Well deserved, because you've done a great job with this motorcycle. With the 502C, Benelli created a middleweight custom cruiser that is more than capable of defeating the competition.
So, it might look like a smaller Ducati XDiavel, but that's far from a bad thing. Actually, I rather like the slim rear and the chunky front. It gives it that rough and angry look. Perhaps they could've done better with the headlight shape, though you get full-leds all around.
The full-colour display is quite tiny also but it has all the functionality you'd need from a bike of this class.
This is as much compromise you'll have to live with, because other than that, this bike is too good to be true. Considering the starting price of only £5,499, there's little to complain about. Actually, there's absolutely nothing to complain about.
The 41mm upside-down forks at the front and adjustable mono shock at the back, are good enough to push this cruiser out of bends as if it wasn't a cruiser at all.
You'd almost forget you're supposed to cruise around, not hitting the limiter at each gear.
With a naked bike attitude this 502C really is surprisingly fun to ride.
On the motorway you can easily reach 70mph or more but you'll fight the wind quite a bit. I would definitely get some wind protection if you're going to commute 20+ miles on the motorway everyday, unless you're ok cruising at around 60mph. I guarantee you won't actually want to, the 502 engine shared with the adventurous TRK makes 47.6 bhp and 45 nm of torque.
Overtaking won't be a problem, as well as filtering through traffic, even though the handlebars are pretty wide.
All you really need is to fill up the massive 21.5l fuel tank and start your motorcycle journey.
This Italian cruiser, made in china, is proof you don't have to spend a lot of money to have fun.
This Benelli 502C is more than enough for the road and will make you as happy as you can be.
